Meugher has an extra level of softness and a special character which comes from the texture of this hand spun wool. It is spun by the herders themselves. As there is less twist than a machine spun fibre there is a softer feel to it and the thickness of the yarn has slight fluctuations. To maximise these qualities I have kept the pattern minimal just adding a hint of colour with Bluefaced Leicester wool as a contrast reminiscent of the way a small patch of moss in spring looks so vibrant amongst a landscape of dark heather.
