Orkhon

£95.00

Orkhon is a shadow weave design. It is a slightly more complicated weaving process where two threads are hand  woven side by side in equal parts one dark and one light give an impression of a 3D pattern. It is made with two threads that compliment each other. The yak khullu in this scarf has the addition of silk for warmth and softness while keeping it light weight and the  hand dyed Bluefaced Leicester to give it colour and vibrancy. It could be described as an autumn weight rather than winter weight scarf . The vast grasslands of the Orkhon valley were my inspiration for this scarf.
