Meugher 99% Yak
£130.00
Meugher is made from yak khullu from 2 and 3 year old yak it is prized for softness, breathability, warmth and natural elasticity . I have used a minimal amount of Bluefaced Leicester wool  a lustre fibre with a bright reflective surface that enhances the colour.
The yak khullu is handspun by the herders themselves. As there is less twist than a machine spun fibre there is a softer feel to it and the thickness of the yarn has slight fluctuations. To maximise these qualities I have kept the pattern minimal just adding a hint of colour with Bluefaced Leicester wool as a contrast reminiscent of the way a small patch of moss in spring looks so vibrant amongst a landscape of dark heather.
It is an extremely soft ,warm winter weight scarf with a story and a character of its own.
